Harper Adams University: Head of Animal Health, Behaviour and Welfare

Harper Adams University is now seeking to appoint a new Head of its Animal Health, Behaviour and Welfare Department who will report to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor. This is an exciting opportunity to provide inspirational leadership with responsibility for enhancing the quality and impact of research (developing a mature research culture and infrastructure in the department, especially in the areas of Behaviour and Welfare), delivery of high-quality education and student outcomes to a growing and more diverse range of students (on undergraduate, postgraduate and CPD short courses) and knowledge exchange activities across the department. 

The incoming post-holder will find themselves with an opportunity to be an aspirational leader to a hard-working and thriving community, who will encourage and nurture a supportive culture within the department. As a member of the University Executive, the postholder will undertake cross-university work within the university and with external delivery partners, seeking new ways to innovate and enhance its portfolio of education, research and knowledge exchange work.

Anglia Ruskin University: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Forensic Genetics

You will join our School of Life Sciences, collaborating with academics teaching and conducting world-class research in Forensic Science, Crime and Investigative Science, Biomedical Science, and Animal and Environmental Biology, based in our Faculty of Science and Engineering.

We are seeking expertise in forensic genetics and skills related to the recovery of biological material from crime scenes. You should also have experience in DNA profiling, and the analysis and statistical interpretation of DNA profiles. Expertise in wildlife forensics, including the illegal trade of wild animals and animal products with a focus on genetics for identification, would also be welcome.
